May 23, 2012 - Lou Stolp was an aircraft mechanic before serving as a B-17 tailgunner with the 429th Squadron of the 2nd Bomb Group during WWII. He later designed the Stolp Starduster, Starduster II, Starlet, V-Star, Super Starduster and AcroDuster II airplanes.
