December 8, 2010 - Hank Heim was a B-18 armorer/gunner with the 31st Bomb Squadron based at Hickam Field bordering Pearl Harbor when Japan attacked on Dec. 7, 1941. After surviving the attack, he became a B-17 pilot and flew 78 combat missions in the European Theater.
