July 23, 2008 - Hal Weekley (1921-2010) was a B-17 pilot with the 601st Bomb Squadron of the 398th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force during WWII, and the last of the WWII combat pilots to actively fly a B-17, retiring from flying EAA's B-17 Aluminum Overcast in 2001.
