November 10, 2011 - Ken Lake flew F6F Hellcats with Navy Fighting Squadron VF-2 "The Rippers" during World War II. Flying off of the USS Hornet and later the USS Shangri-La, Ken was credited with destroying six Japanese planes in air to air combat, making him an ace.
