In Why We Fly
Getting Away - Javron Super Cub
Bill Rusk, EAA 350098, built his Javron Super Cub for a specific mission: Alaskan bush flying. Hear the story of the airplane and the mission from Bill himself, and get a look at the incredible scenic views he enjoys from his Javron Cub.
Midwing Special - It Used to Be a What?
Believe it or not, this airplane used to be a Super Cub. Ben Anderson, EAA 1032615, bought the one-of-a-kind Midwing Special from air show pilot Ned Surratt about three years ago, and spent a couple of years restoring it before bringing it to #OSH17.
Flying with Draco and the Cowboys!
EAA took a visit to Utah and stopped by the Flying Cowboys to see what they were up to. While there, we got to fly with DRACO! Weather prevented any mountain flying and cut the trip short, but it was a blast! Backcountry flying is where it's at!
Triple Tree Young Aviators Fly-In
The picturesque Triple Tree Aerodrome recently hosted the inaugural Young Aviators Fly-In, which drew approximately 500 attendees and 200 airplanes. The event was a tremendous success, helping showcase youth in aviation and hopefully inspiring more.
Taking Off Together - Flying Clubs
Flying clubs are a great way for pilots to get more affordable flight time, but they also provide a window into aviation for the surrounding communities. Hands-on experiences around the hangar and flight training opportunities are all benefits.
