In the Zone - Ultralight and Light-Sport Aircraft at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2018

Most of the space-flown items that Frank Borman generously donated to EAA in 2018 were special tools that he and the other Apollo 8 astronauts used in their mission to orbit the moon. A rare exception was the personal preference kits.
Sole Survivor - B-26K/A-26A Special Kay
One of the warbird highlights at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2018 was Special Kay, the only flying Douglas B-26K/A-26A Invader in the world. This twin-engine medium bomber/attack aircraft has been recently restored to its mid-’60s.
Out in the Open - Opener’s BlackFly
The world woke up on July 12, 2018, to discover that Opener had unveiled its personal air vehicle, the electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) BlackFly. It made an appearance at AirVenture 2018. Read more in January EAA Sport Aviation.
