In April we welcomed John Monnett to our museum for our speaker series. John is a multi-thousand-hour private pilot with both glider and float plane ratings and an A&P mechanic, who discussed his many designs and the history of Sonex Aircraft.

L.D. Jeffries was looking for something to do in his retirement — all he knew for sure was that he wasn’t going to sit on the porch. He’s decided to indulge a lifelong dream and become an air show pilot, flying the FLS Microjet named Lil Devil.

Employees from Van’s Aircraft, volunteers, and AirVenture attendees came together to build an RV-12iS from start to finish within a week during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2018 as part of the second One Week Wonder project.
